Background

My name is Ezra, I'm a writer specializing in journalism and investigative reporting based in Chicago, IL. ​

Although originally from central Virginia, I moved to North Carolina to attend college at UNC Asheville. In May of 2021, I graduated cum laude with a degree in mass communication with a focus on journalism.

After college, I worked as a reporter for Black Mountain News, covering local news, politics, sports, arts and culture in the Swannanoa Valley. Now, I work independently, creating my own stories to showcase on this website. Here, you can find examples of my work, both independently and from the newsroom.
